NOTICE

Taken up and committed to the jail of
Cabarrus Co. on the 8th day of Sep. 1861,
a negro boy who says his name is NEP, and that
be belongs to a man by the name of Joseph VICK,
in Edgecombe, NC. Said boy is about 30 or 35 yrs of age,
quite dark, five feet 10 or 11 inches high, and very
sensible. The owner is requested to come and prove
the property, pay charges and take him away.
