Taken up and committed to the jail of of Surry County, North-Carolina, on
the 20th day of October, 1863, a negro boy, who says his
name is BEN, and says he belongs to Joshua Rouse, of Renoir
County, North-Carolina. Said boy is about 18 or 20
years old. about five feet ft or 10 inches high, dark. The
owner is hereby notified to come forward, prove property,
and pay charges and take said.boy away, or he will be dealt
with as the law directs.
