Notice.
Taken up and committed as runaways, on the 30th of May, 1860,
to jail of Cumberland County, two negroes, PHIL and JERRY, who
say they belong to THOS. J. STOKES of Franklin Co. Phil is about 45 yrs
old 6 ft 2 inches high, weighs about 170 lbs. Jerry is about 25 yrs old, 5'6 inches
high and weighs about 135 lbs. The owner is requested to come for
ward, prove property, pay charges,and take him away, or
he will be dealt with as the law directs.
