I am descended from African American Williamses. I know that in late
20th century [from about 1899 and on] my Williams ancestors began
migrating from southern Maine into Massachusetts, specifically the
Chelsea area and other towns near Boston. I have traced our line back
to the Revolutionary War and would love to find any living descendant
cousins. Some ancestors also migrated from southern Maine to northern
Maine. It was a large family. My bet is that I have living cousins
somewhere.
