Hi, Joseph. I am not researching any Evans families, but I am researching Felders from South Carolina.

I was told, by a fellow Felder researcher, that migration between South and North Carolina was a frequent and ongoing occurrence enabled by a 'federal highway' that was built between the two states. I have no confirmation of this, but maybe you are correct in thinking that Evanses from both states may be related.

If anyone knows of this pattern of migration that was supported by a comparatively 'easy' mode of transportation, I would appreciate hearing about it. I am trying to locate the origins of my Felder family.
