1880 Census, Virginia, Campbell county, Lynchburg area
Hey Ron,
May have found my family. Joseph Torrence, 43 white living next to Jack Torrence, 43 black.

It looks like Jack and Sarah have 5 children, Esmond 8 and Lorena 1 are included. I think this may be my family eventhough Wyatt isn't listed by Wyatt, this may be him listed as Esmond. This was the same middle name listed on Wyatt's death cert. Also, Hattie and Wyatt had a twin daughter named Lorena, "Rena".

Joseph and his wife Martha have 7 children to include Joseph Jr., and Lenora.

Jack Torrence is listed as being able to read and write while Joseph Torrence can't.

Also, there is a Cardwell 42, white male who has living with him a mulatto widow Martha McIvor 63 and her 5 mulatto children. I only mention this because I thought I saw in the 1870 census Jack Torrence and Cardwell living in the same household with Jack being the head. I'm going to have another look.
