In Response To: Re: [NC] Heritage of Blacks in NC Vol1 ()
This is what I got in summary: Joel House born about 1820 in Cabarrus County died unknown married to Kaziah born about 1824, death unknown. In the 1870 census for Rowan County, Gold Hill, Kaziah House is in her forties as head of household and has four sons:Sire born about 1852; Monroe born in 1854; Martin born in 1858; and Jackson born in 1859 or 1860. It is Jackson John House my grandfather of GoldHill, N.C. married to Martha Ellen Crowell, born in 1866, married on November 24, 1886. Martha Crowell, daughter of Andrew and Rachael Crowell. Jackson John House died in 1910; so Martha married a Stokes Ingram in 1913; he died in 1931, and my grandma died in 1942. John and Martha had six children. The one Fred House married Fannie Miller and their son Edward was born 1910. It is through Edward that the names of Peoples and Morrissey comes into play. Joseph Messages In This Thread
