Re: [NC] Heritage of Blacks in NC Vol1

I may have asked this question to you before, as this is an old email that I am reading and responding to.

Did you find any Grantham, Alen, Whitfield or Mckinney in the Sampson County records?

Memo: There are Hobs, Fennell and Williams in Wayne county. My family knew some of these family names/members. I knew a Roosevel Williams in Goldsboro (Wayne County). I think he died in 1965 or 1966, September and should have been around 70 years old.

Were you able to find the county histories that you mentioned? I may be able to research some information from the Wayne County library. I have a library card and some records may be accessible on-line. However, most all libraries restrict county genealogical records to that resource area and are not removable.
