I knew the Strange's and the families you have listed that were in Piqua, Ohio. I wasn't born until 1934, but I grew up knowing Bernard & Bernice Reed (twins) and was somewhat a contemporary of the stepgrandson Bernard Newman.

Oscar Strange was a member of my church in Piqua...Cyrene A.M.E. and he helped me find summer employment before my graduation from Piqua High School in 1952.

I also have ancestors who were in Warren County, Ohio during the periods you mention. Wayne/Waynesville & Turtle Creek township as well as in Springfield, Ohio in Clark County.

The knitting factory mentioned was the Allen-A and later BVD Uunderwear. Oscar helped me get a summer job there. And the hospital where he worked was Piqua Memorial Hospital where I was born. My grandaunt was in charge of the Laundry Dept. at PMH.

What a small world.
