Re: [LA] Surname Rapp in Louisana
In Response To: Re: [LA] Surname Rapp in Louisana
() Hello Lyndam, You, Ron,and others on this site are really good researchers.
Ialso want to say that all ofthose people in section 1 Lyndam are my relatives. Clara Spriggs died 1929 was my g grand mother. Her mother was Mary Louise Rapp Spriggs who died in 1922 at 88 years of age(This is also the one Iam trying to find parents info on).Ernestine and Ernest Spriggs were my g grand mother siblings. They were also Mary Louise Rapp Spriggs Children. James Spriggs was Mary Louise Rapp Spriggs husband and the father of my g grand mother Clara, Ernestine, and Ernest. The other Mary Louise Spriggs may be another daughter to Mary Louise Rapp Spriggs but Iam not certain. I do know that the names of Mary Louise and Clara are repetitive in this family as u can see from your email section 1.Ireally dont know the reason why though. My g grand mother Clara even named one of her older daughters Clara. So "Clara" has lasted through many generations. A while back one of my relatives did tell me that gggrandmother Mary Louise Rapp Spriggs(AKA Clara Spriggs on some census records)did have a lil bit of German ancestry. That was all they told me.They stressed the word "lil". So now with all of this new information about some Rapps owning slaves Ihave alot of information to look at. Lyndam is it possible for you to send me some more information about free colored people. You can email me on my personal web address.Thank you so much,
