Re: [LA] Plaisance Louisana
In Response To: Re: [LA] Plaisance Louisana ()
My first name is Joseph, last name Evans, however my research is in the House family line. This particular House family come out of Cabarrus and Rowan County, N.C., where one Mark Haus came from Germany, changed name to Mark House, and his line goes to Elias House and to Elias' son Jacob House. I identified my great grandfather in the 1850 and 1860 census for Cabarrus and found his name to be Joel House, a mulatto, laborer. Let me go back to the Pink Plaisance ship. The names to look for in N.C., names that were a part of the ship, were Bast/Bost, Fehgert/Faggart, Haus/House, Schwarzwaler/Blackwelder, Behringer/Barringer. These are many of the names that came from Pa. and migrated to N.C. Joseph Messages In This Thread
