I am searching for the direct descendants of my great-grandfather Pleas Ramsour. He was born in Smith county near Tyler, Texas around 1850, and was a very light skinned mulatto of German descent. He was often mistaken for being an Indian. He died in Rusk county near Henderson, Texas in 1932. I do not have a copy of his death certificate nor did I find him in the 1920 or 1930 census, after having found him in the 1910 census. His children were; Jane Ramsour, Robert/Bob Ramsour, Lena Ramsour, S.B. Ramsour, Calvin Ramsour, Oceo Ramsour, Virginia Ramsour, Allie M. Ramsour, Levia D. Ramsour, Daisey Ramsour, Mary E. Ramsour, and my grandmother, Jency Ramsour Mills. In the early 1900's, Jane Ramsour married Anthony Hall in Rusk county Henderson, Texas. In 1920 Robert/Bob Ramsour was 47 years old and living in Smith county near Tyler, Texas with his 38 year old wife Lucindy Ramsour. Their children were; Mary Lou Ramsour, Wiley Ramsour, Robert Ramsour, Charles Ramsour, Junell Ramsour, and Ruby Ramsour. Many of them migrated to other states, and even if the females remained in Texas, they married and I'm not aware of their married names. I am familiar with the offspring and descendants of Jency Ramsour Mills, but the problem is with the offspring and descendants of her siblings. The two or thre of them that I know have no knowledge of our ancestry. I am hoping that some of Pleas Ramsours descendants will be searching their line and will be able to help me.
