[DC] William T. Clinton & family

I am trying to find some more information on William T. Clinton. According to the census he worked as a Police Officer for the Washington DC area. I am trying to find out when did he retire from service.

William first wife was named Annie and they had six children: Princeton, William B., George R., Chester C., Daisy (my gggrandmother) and Richard. He then remarried after Annie death to a a woman named Matilda. Matilda had a daughter named Jennie Winfield. William's mother name was Harriet Clinton. He also had a aunt named Mary A. Boyd. They were residing with him on the 1880's census. The census had him listed being born in California, but he actually was born in Fulton County, Ga. I did find him in 1870 living in Texas working as a stock driver. I also have some information on his children.

William B married a woman named Annie. Annie also had 2 children prior to the marriage: Cleo(Cleopatra) & Edgar Barbour. They had a daughter named Gladys. William worked as a barber. William & Annie did divorce according to the census records.

George married Macedonia Hall. They had 3 boys: Preston, William and James.

Daisy married John S. Pleasant. They had 3 children: Anna, John S. and Henry(my ggrandfather). John & Daisy married in April 1902. I was only able to find Daisy with the kids living with her brother George in 1910. Cant find anymore information on them elsewhere.

Chester married a woman named Miranda and they had 2 children: Daisy & Wilbur.

Richard never married and I did locate a Princeton Clinton living in New York but I am not certain its him. There is a family rumor that a member of the Clinton family was once the owner of a popular motorcycle shop in Maryland but I haven't found the connection. Any additional information on the family will be appreciated especially when did William T. Clinton retire from the force.

Thanks again

Vernique
