Here is what I found in the census records on Ransom Wallace. It looks like he married a woman named Eugenia around 1906 and they had quite a few children. I found him and Eugenia in the San Antonio area (Bexar County) in the 1910, 1920 and 1930 censuses. In the 1900 census, I found a Ransom Wallace (about the same age) in neighboring Guadalupe County (Seguin) living with grandparents. I could not find Ransom in the 1880 census, hence my recommendation to you that you get a copy of his death certificate to determine who his parents are.
