Brothers born 1862 and 185 Soloman and Tump (may be Walter) married Mariah and Caddie Temples and made their home in Washington County following emanicipation, Georgia working on the farm of Isadore GILES in Deepstep, Georgia near Sandersville.
I see them first in the 1880 census and am looking for any formal agreement between either of them and the GILES farm that may indicate which plantation (if any) that they came from and who would have been their owners.
Tump was a minister at Mt. Sinai--which recently burned, Pleasant Grove and Beulah, all baptist churches in center Georgia.
Some oral tradition and one of Tump's census records has their father born in NC. According to Tump's death certificate, the PEELER boy's father would be named Randall.
