The funeral of the late Tom GORDON, one of Knoxville's best known and most popular barbers who died suddenly Thursday afternoon, took place yesterday afternoon at the family residence, No. 111 Temperance street. The attendance was large and the exercises were conducted by Rev. C. C. RUSSELL. The Knoxville colored cornet band kindly consented to furnish the requisite music for the occasion. On Thursday a few hours before his death the deceased predicted his own death, and told a friend that he would be dead before Christmas.
