Negro Woman Dies OF Knife Wounds.
Charlie Mae Hart, negro woman, who was slashed across the stomach with
a knife Monday night, died of the wounds in a hospital early today.
Mozelle Blake, also a Negro woman, who is alleged to have attacked the
Hart woman, was being held in jail on a charge of assault with intent
to murder, but following the death of the woman, the alleged attacker
was charged with murder.

Swat With Scantling Which Hid Nail Fatal To Negro At Chipley.
Chipley, Fla. Struck on the head by a scantling which hid a nail,
Jake Pompy, negro, was fatally injured here last night. Sheriff T J
Harrell, who investigated the negro's death place Roland Pompy, uncle of
the slain negro, under arrest. The two were arguing over hogs when the
uncle obtained a scantling and struck his nephew on the head, a nail in
the plank penetrating the other negro's skull, Sheriff Harrell
reported.
