My name is Anitra and I am trying to find any info I can on my family.They are from Edgard,(St. John the Baptist Parish) Louisiana and i have been able to go back to 1887. I have found info on my dad's side, but i want to know more. I want to know if any of them were slaves, especially since my great grandmother is mixed(black and white). If anydody out there has any suggestions on how to get any more info, please let me know.
