Hello,

I found my g-grandmother, Willie Chapman-8 yrs old, and her half sister Hester Chapman-10 yrs old, in the 1900 census for Guyandotte district, Cabell Co, WV listed as "inmates." The head of household was a white man last name WOLCOTT. Can't read first name. He is 57 and no occupation is listed. Next is a THOMPSON, Maggie, MATRON, 36 and widowed. Next is a MASSIE, Nannie, SERVANT, 32 and widowed. The rest are children. What was/is this place? Where should I start to find out?

Also, could someone look for a marriage certificate for Willie Chapman and Joseph Leroy Wiseman? They were married between 1900-1910. Thanks.

I forgot to mention that my g-grandmother was from Winifrede Hollow, Kanawha Co, WV. I don't know who her mother was. Her father was Augustus/Gus Chapman.
