I am new to this forum...
I recently began to research my family and was surprised to have gotten quite far in only 4 months. I need some info on my "new" found family out of Pontotoc (Gilmer) which connects with my family out of Grenada (Montgomery). My ancestor William Gilmer (mulatto) carpenter abt 1813 in North Carolina. His wife was Palina 1822 (mulatto) Virginia. I have found them together in 1870, they married late and had a daughter Rebecca that was a school teacher. I am eager to found out more about them.
