I'd certainly like to know more about the Lytes family since both ancestors were Lytes from the same area in SC. The information in the query is all that I know. I do know that a David Lytes married Chloe Drummond and that they also lived in Conway County, Arkansas. I don't know if there was a relation.

A man named John Davenport from Batesburg had information about some of the families that he shared with an acquaintance, however, when my cousin wrote to him there was no response. I don't know if he's still alive. I was so desperate, I wrote to the African American Churches in Batesburg/Leesville. Didn't get a response, however.

Coincidentally, a Pearl Lytes was the wife of a Pine Bluff, Arkansas dentist. He also was from Lexington County, SC. There was a Dr. Frederick Paschal Lytes and a Dr. Frank Lytes.
