Dear Friends, The last meeting of the Black Belt African American Genealogical and Historical Society (BBAAGHS) was a HUGE success! What a great turnout and an enthusuastic group. The group's mission is the discovery, collection, organization and protection of the genealogy and history of African Americans in the Alabama Black Belt Region. Anyone with an interest in African American genealogy, family history or the preservation of historical sites in Alabama's Black Belt counties is welcome to attend. Refreshments served. Contact B.J.
