I could not find marriage info but I think I found Maranda's maiden name. There were three Maranda's recorded in the 1870 census for Tuscaloosa AL.

1) Maranda Marrast 14 living in Northport Tuscaloosa by herself as the head of household.

2) Maranda Powell 14 living in Northport Tuscaloosa in the household of:
Smith, Thomas 47 W
Smith, Sarah 43 W
Smith, Rebecca 80 w - boarder
POWELL, Maranda 14 B F Domestic Servant
Smith, Syras 10 B M Domestic Servant

3) I think this one is your Maranda 1870 Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa
MARRANT, Aaron 65 B M VA
Marrant, Annie 52 B F AL
Marrant, Angeline 25 AL
Marrant, Maranda 15 AL

The Marrant family lived a few doors from Shedrick in 1870 when he was 13 and still living with his parents.

In 1880 Shedrick is still living with his parents as divorced in the same town as Maranda Sanders, recorded as Court House.

I know this is not definitive proof of Maranda's maiden name, I therefore suggest you explore it further. You might also want to look for a marriage certificate of her children-Anna.

By the way my family the Tannehills were in Tuscaloosa in 1870. I too have been unable to find marriage info. I am particular interested in (Allin, Alan) Tannehill and Rena Steadman married before 1894. If you should run across there marriage info please remember me.
