thank you for that reply. I have that record, those 2 boys in 1920 are my father, James and his twin George and were 10 at that time! The babies of the family.

I think I saw a record for a Randa Battle and a Shedrick/Shadrick somewhere in the marriage records. I have to try and pull my records. It must have been in the 1870's, this my be my couple.

I am curious as if Marandy/Miranda was marred in another state. I just find it so fascinating that Maranda and a Shedrick or Shadrick are both listed as divorced in 1880 on the Tuscaloosa, Co., census. That blew my mind.

So, I need to get back into my research...I am determined to get further in my research.
