I don't know if this was posted already. I just came across this last night. It's a greatly expanded marriage index though somewhat more limited than ideal. There is no spouse name in the record. If you already know at least the first name of the spouse then you can search by the county, month and year. That might not be that much fun for a county like Jefferson (Birmingham, Bessemer) but for most counties it's not too bad. Now if you don't know at least the first name of the spouse, finding the name could be very time consuming since you would have to check every record listed in the search until the certificate numbers matched. That could be very tedious. It's still a pretty good information update.
