Annette, Although I do not have my ancestry records with me I can tell you that my ancestor George Mills Madden had a plantation at Maddens Corners, outside of Laurens, SC. Other ancesters are from Due West and Laurens. At the beginning of the Civil War George's 2 sons by his first marriage sold the plantation out from under the second family and absconded to Mississippi with the monies.
