Hi Researchers,

I am researching the family of Laura Mathews, b. 1875, mother of Hattie Mathews, b 1895 and Walter Mathis (sp) b. 1896 in Duplin County, NC. Laura was the daughter of Essex and Bessie (Ivey) Mathews.

Hattie Mathews m. 1917 Abram (Abe), b. 1895 and resided in Wallace, NC in Duplin County. She died in 1926 as a young wife leaving 4 children: Abe, Jr., Thomas, Edna and Martha. Later years, Abram left for the northern part of the USA. later I am told a daughter followed him, just wondering where they went to live.

Walter was my grandfather born in the same county, but Walter moved to/from Duplin>Sampson>Wayne>Sampson and finally back to Wayne County in Goldsboro, NC. where he passed in 1982.
I am looking for grandpa Walter's sister Laura's descendants. Where did they go?
