The Sevier County Public Library Genealogy Annex will host a two-part Beginning Genealogy workshop during July, with other classes to be scheduled in the coming months.
The workshops will be limited to 12 participants in each class and will be held July 10 and 13 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The first part of the free workshop will be hosted by genealogist Theresa Williams, who will speak on the basics of beginning genealogy. During the first part of the workshop, participants will be given a booklet to fill out concerning their family genealogy to be completed before attending the second session of the workshop.

The second part will be hosted by genealogist Tim Fisher, who will assist students with problems encountered while filling out the booklet. Fisher will also give the budding genealogists information on how to continue their search for family history.

Participants should attend both sessions.
