I am trying to make the connection with GOINS' of and in Ohio to the GOINS/GOINGS/GOENS/GOWENS line out of Albemarle and Louisa Counties. So far I have an obituary from Belmont County, Ohio which says the GOINS' are from Albemarle. I also have seen an Order Book in Albemarle County, Virginia with members of the GOINS/GOENS/GOINGS/GOWENS which suggest kinship with the person who has a obituary from Belmont County, Ohio. I found other pieces of information which suggest a connection. These text include J.L. Jordan's "A Just and True Account "which appeared in The Magazine of Albemarle County History (1995) and Paul Heinegg's "Free African Americans of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland and Delaware."
