What is Alabama? What does it mean to be an Alabamian?
“No longer are we the images of cotton fields, barns or hoop skirts,” Rosa Parks Museum director Georgette Norman said after viewing artworks selected for a new exhibition with the Montgomery Art Guild.
“Alabama Exhibition: The Face of Alabama” comprises 41 works by 41 different professional artists from across the state. It officially opens with a reception at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Montgomery Street museum, on the campus of Troy State University Montgomery.
