I just happened to see your post on Convicted Slaves, Frederick, MD.

I am researching my Devan ancestors and I know that William Devan was a mulatto born to a White woman in the household of Richard Simpson approx 1767. I was wondering if there is a slave listed anywhere in those records named Devan or convicted of fornication with a woman in the Simpson household or an indentured servant named Devan?

I'd appreciate all the assistance I can get since I am in Seattle, WA.
