I really appreciate your assistance on this mystery. I feel that I can more or less try to piece the puzzle. I am in the stage of writing a letter to my grandfather's half-brother, Richard Peebles, about trying to get family tree info on their mother, Julia Roberts Peebles.

Julia was my great-grandmother. She was born in South Boston, Virginia, either in 1914 or 1915. She died in 1968 in Brooklyn, New York.

I am really trying to confirm that the Eugene Cox of this mystery was the one who fathered her son, Eugene Leon Cox (later Peebles). I am going to find out if she had any siblings. I may have to look up the 1920 Census in Virginia for her family as well to give me a lead. Hopefully I can find out if she had siblings, nieces and nephews who probably heard of Eugene Cox.
