History celebrated during NKU event

Plans are set for the 13th Annual Northern Kentucky History Day, to be celebrated on Feb. 25 at Northern Kentucky University. The schedule will include several local historians and 17 workshops in two sessions, set from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Local heritage organizations, including Northern Kentucky University and the Historical Confederation of Kentucky, are sponsoring the event.
Speakers' presentations will include genealogy, family life, the Civil War and African American history, including a presentation on the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center by NKU president emeritus Dr. Leon Boothe.
