I am looking for my gr grandfather Lafayette aka Fayette aka Fate Dawson before 1874. In 1874 he married a Martha Brown in Upson county. He is in the 1880 census of Upson county and is listed as being 38 years old. He had two sisters Lithia who had no children and Jane who had 1 daughter Sarah Pruitt in 1860 4/19/1860.Fayette had children from a Edie Smith named Freeman who in 1880 was about 19yrs,Anna,Ella,Mary,Fannie,Fayette,Mit. From Sarah Searcy he had Hattie born 1881,Lula born 1883,Dora 1887,Elizabeth and Lilley born 1895. I would like to know what county he was in in 1865 when he was freed?
