I am trying to contact members of the Searcy family from Upson County Georgia. My maternal grandmother's mother was Sarah Searcy. I only know her name and that she had two brothers a Jordan and Thomas (John Thomas*. She gave birth to my grandmother in 1882 her name was Hattie Dawson, my grandmother's other siblings were Lula L. Dawson-Jenkins 1883,Dora Dawson-Weaver 1895,Elizabeth (Sugar) Dawson, Lilley Dawson 1895, and two sons who died very young a David and another possibly named Roger. I believe they grew up in the Blackankle district of Upson. By 1900 my gr grandmother was deceased. Sarah Searcy had other relatives in Upson also. A Square Searcy a masonic who married a Sophronia Walker-Akins,a Wash Searcy,Dan Searcy,Pink Searcy,Jessie Searcy and his brother Clinton born 1902 who later migrated to Philadelphia then Detroit. According to my mother many of the Searcys moved to Detroit. Please help I need to make contact with my Searcy family. Florence Fox-Walker
