I am looking for any grandchildren or g-grandchildren of John Wesley Williams and His wife Lucy Simpkins-Williams they were slaves possibly born in Hampton county Cape Charles VA. They had 11 children, all born in New York city. They are: John Walter (called Walter), Charles Wesley, James Henry (my grandfather), Joshua Watkins (called Watts), Lucy Ellen (called Ella), Francis Loenard (called Len), Apollo Steptoe (called Poll), Sarah Melinda (called Lena), Albert Benjamin, Richard Alexander (called Dick). I know that most of them staid in Harlem, but I remember my father speaking about family in Philadelphia. Have had much luck with Jim's wifes family but Metrash is not as common a name as Williams. Hope the ancestors can hear me!!!
