Spencer Eason was my Grandfather and is in fact buried in the Ellaville Cemetary. He was survived by his wife, Jessie DeVane Eason, and three small Children, Spencer C Eason Jr, Carl Durward Eason, and Annie Julia Eason. They are all deceased.
I have heard stories over the years, apparently the killing of Spencer had something to do with gambling, aftr Spencer was shot the ones involved were planning on placing his him on the railroad tracks so that the train would run over him and hide the fact that he had been shot. I do not know if this is true or not but it was told to me as a child by my Grandmother.
