Re: Will Pay Your Expenses

What makes you believe that the cause of death was inaccurate? I would think that if she died at Montefiorre Hospital, the doctor would have filled out the information for the death certificate. Does it show that an MD filled out the information? Does the hospital still exists? I work in a hospital parttime and I know that records are available even from the 1960s.
Nowadays when you transport a body across state lines, you have to have a burial transit permit which would be on file with the hospital, the funeral home and the medical examiner for the state the death occurred. This may not have been a requirement back then. Check with the funeral home that transported the body to gain what information they have. The funeral home should be listed on the death certificate. One of the things I do at the hospital is to notify the funeral home when a family has requested their services. The information I give them include name of deceased person, death date, cause of death, time of death, Dr's name who will sign the death certificate, date of birth, social security info and next of kin information.
I know I'm rambling on, but hopefully you will find something I've said useful.
Good Luck to you,
