My gg-grandparents, Edward and Sallie Foreman, also migrated to Gainesville between 1881 ane 1900. Although the family came from Burke County, Georgia, I believe Edward’s roots are in Barnwell County, SC.
Same as you, I have know clue to the Gainesville attraction.
