[Nationwide] CA, MN and WI B/M/D Records; A Goldmine!!!
Over the past weekend, I just discovered that CA, MN and WI had wonderful records available through Ancestry.com that can help all of us find more current information on our family members.
We all know that when we are usually researching, the indexes and databases that we use are pretty old. This weekend, I found out otherwise.
CA's Birth Index on Ancestry provides birthdate, name, mother's maiden name and the county the child was born in for the years 1903 to 1995.
MN's Birth Index on Ancestry provides birthdate, name, mother's full maiden name and father's full name and the county the child was born in for the years 1935 to 2002. There is also the MN Marriage Index from the years 1997 to 2001.
WI's Marriage Index provides full maiden name of the bride, the full name of the groom, what county they reside in and their marriage date. This index goes from 1973 to 1997.
There are other states, such as Texas, that also have records that current.
