AFA Booth at Sucarnochee Festival, April 23
The AFA will have a booth at the Sucarnochee Folklife and Heritage Festival,sponsored by the City of Livingston and the University of West Alabama, on Saturday, April 23 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Joyce Cauthen and Al Thomas could use some help in this booth, especially in the early afternoon when Joyce will be performing with her band, Flying Jenny, on stage. On Livingston's Downtown Square: Explore the rich history
and folklife culture of the Black Belt region through the work of
traditional artisans, from basketmakers and weavers to blacksmiths and
potters. Enjoy performances of folk music, storytelling, craft
demonstrations, a ghost tour, cornbread cook-off, and the Sucarnochee 5k river run. Sat., 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
