[DC] Invisible Children: Discover the Unseen

This past Monday I attended the first screening of "Invisible
Children: Discover the Unseen," a documentary about the the plight of
children in Northern Uganda who have struggled to survive in the war
torn region. Thousands of children have been kidnapped and forced
into the rebel regime as child soldiers, or ruthlessly murdered, with
some children being as young as seven y/o. This is a 20 y/o war that
has received very little attn. in Western media despite the horrific
war crime of enslaving child soldiers.

This gripping film was produced to appeal to the millennium
generation audience (people born after 1982) so it's visual effects
are key to the films artistic style. The young filmmakers (fresh out
of college) have already visited D.C., but you can order the DVD
online (later this week) and catch the trailer at
http://www.invisiblechildren.com/ .

The documentarians are raising money for a bracelet awareness
campaign and need 80k for capital. They are also raising funds for a
feature film in 2006. Please order the DVD and host a houseparty to
help the traumatized and lost generation of Northern Uganda.

Sincerely,

Carrie Smith
