I am looking for those persons who may be or may have known some folks connected with a line of families especially African Americans who lived in the township of Gold Hill, N.C. Gold Hill is a part of Rowan County, N.C., however it is about 22 miles from the county seat of Salisbury, and sought of spreads a lot close to the Cabarrus County, N.C. line. I believe that at one time a lot of people once a part of Cabarrus may have drifted into that area. It is based on a farming area. Names of whites include: Culp,Honeycutt,Trent,Heilig,House, Crowell. These names are also affiliated with AfricanAmericans, especially House, Crowell, Heilig, Shad,Melcher, and many more.
If anyone connected please notify me. Joseph
