In jr high (Hoover Jr High, Oakland CA) we had a class called I.W.E. (Inside Work Experience). Mine was as a helper in the school library. One of my duties was to set up the most recent magazines such as Life, Ebony, Look, and Time, in binders with a clear, plastic cover, and place them in the magazine rack. The old ones were filed away in the storeroom. At the time I never gave much thought to the older mags and voraciously read the newest ones. Now I'm wondering what may have happened to all of those old mags and newspapers? Probably trashed, huh?
