I certainly have heard of the school. My mother finished that school in 1938. she was 25 years old at the time and I feel sure that she probably knew your mother. My mother passed in 1985. There are other people aroung who may have known your Mom. I have two cousins who graduated from that school and are both alive. I do know that they still have a reunion every 2 years. They alternate reunion times with alumni from Burgess Landrum High School, which is the name the new school assumed whan it was rebuilt. Of course although that school is still standing, it is now a middle school (the plight of many African American Schools in small towns in the rural south). I hope I'm not too late in contacting you.
