And Toot, thanks for the replies. Outside of the microfilm, I have been chronicling them through newspaper articles that I have been able to locate. It was so true about record keeping at some of the churches; one I am dealing with had all of their records washed away in a flood, while in Indiana, another just has a Rev. Tucker listed...no first name, due to an argument where someone ripped up the old church records and they had to be reconstructed! Will keep trying, and thanks for letting me know at least that I am taking the right steps and giving me other options to consider...just so frustrating!
