The Newport News Virginia Public Library Virginiana Collection has a number of historical pamphlets now available on line as part of their Digital Library. Included is #12 the Virginia School for the Colored Deaf and Blind Children 1913. Not only does it include photos but it includes the names of the students and the counties from which they came from. The school is still operating (it is no longer segregated), but is fighting to stay open, the state wants to close and consolidate with the school in Staunton.
