According to a finding, in RowanCounty, N.C. in volume 5, that there was an African Americn church called St. Johns Baptist Cemetery, known today as an abandoned black cemetery, 2 miles east of St. Peters Church Road in Gold Hill. There is a statement in volum 5 that the cemetery is overgrown with a lot of graves fallen in." However I am also amazed at the fact that not far from there on Route 52;, 100 feet from the main highway, is a St. Johns Baptist Church abandoned in 1950. I believe that this is another link in my research. If anyone out there recognize this church or location please notify me. Thanks.
