Oh, Georgia, you brought back memories. Merrick Park Baptist Church in Queens, New York was the church I attended. The pastor there, Rev. Curtis G. Norton performed my marriage ceremony, and baptized my daughter.

I left Queens and moved upstate where I worked for a number of years. There, I did not join a particular church, but attended several churches as an invited guest. My daughter attended Sunday School at Wilborn Temple in Albany. [I drove her there every Sunday like I was a postman -neither rain, snow, sleet, etc.]

I have no recollection of the church I attended while growing up in Liberty City, Miami, Florida. It was 'Church' and we went to Sunday School at 9 o'clock, 11 o'clock service, 2 o'clock service, and evening service at 6 o'clock.

Was I raised in the church? LOL.
