Grandparents help start and belonged to Solid Rock Baptist Church on Market St., in Oakland, CA. Rev. Washington was pastor, now deceased. My step-GF George Britton, was a deacon there for more than 30 years and was ordained only a couple of years before he was felled by a stroke.

Baptised at Morning Star Baptist Church on 34th St., Oakland, CA. Sang in both the Junior and Youth Choirs. For some reason I recall both a Pastor Daniels and a Rev. Jacob (no "s").

Belonged to Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 2404 Cutting Blvd., Richmond, CA. Sang in the Sr Choir, helped with the Jr Choir. Rev. Robert Delley (deceased) was pastor. The church is now Kingdomland Baptist Church.
